It was the original resort in Menorca for British tourists in 1958 and the beach is in a beautiful cove set down from the resort between high cliffs.
The bay is reached from the resort either via a road that runs down to the beach with ample parking space or via two sets of steps set into the cliff face. With plenty of space to sunbathe, soft sand, and a gently shelving shore, the beach gives safe bathing and is therefore ideal for a family holiday. In high season pedalos and kayaks are available for hire on the beach, often a favourite with families and young adults.
The resort is typical of Menorcan resorts in that it is more village style than town style yet still has a wide selection of bar/restaurants and supermarkets to suit every taste. The resort also has a famous night-club set in natural caves half way down a 50 meter cliff face. The night club, Cova d'en Xoroi is only two minutes walk away from Club Menorca.
The islands capital, Mahon or Mao, is just 10/15 minutes drive away by car or 30 minutes or so by the regular bus service which runs from the centre of the resort (cost €1.80 per person). Mahon has the second deepest natural harbour in the world: 5 km long and up to 900 metres wide. The water is deep but it remains mostly clear due to it being slightly enclosed.
The island of Menorca has a long list of unmissable sights that you must try and see on your holiday. Directions and excursion sheets to some of the best are available from the Club Menorca reception.
