Cala En Porter

Cala en Porter is situated on the south coast of Menorca just 15 minutes drive from the airport. It was the original resort in Menorca for British tourists in 1958 and the beach is in a beautiful cove set down from the resort between high cliffs.

The bay is reached from the resort either via a road that runs down to the beach with ample parking space or via two sets of steps set into the cliff face. With plenty of space to sunbathe and a gently shelving shore, the soft sand beach gives safe bathing and is therefore ideal for a family holiday. In high season pedalos are available for hire from the beach, as well as watersports activities including a kayak cave tour - a favourite with holidaymakers.

The resort has a wide selection of bar/restaurants and supermarkets to suit every taste, and a famous night-club set in natural caves half way down a 50 meter cliff face. The night club, Cova d'en Xoroi, is only five minutes walk away from Club Menorca.

The islands capital, Mahon or Maó, is just 10/15 minutes drive away by car or 30 minutes or so by the regular bus service which runs from the centre of the resort. Mahon has the second deepest natural harbour in the world: 5 km long and up to 900 metres wide. The water is deep but it remains mostly clear due to it being slightly enclosed.
