Club Menorca is an eighteen bedroom guesthouse, classed in Spain as a Hostal-Residencia. Whilst not a hotel, Club Menorca offers clean private rooms with unforgettable views and a great atmosphere. Every room has panoramic sea views, allowing guests to fall asleep at night to the peaceful sound of the sea below.

What is a Spanish Hostal-Residencia?

Many people believe that a hostal is simply the Spanish spelling for a hostel. However, this is not true. A hostal is a completely new form of accommodation typical for Spain. Even though these two words look alike, they are used for a different type of lodging.

A hostal sits between a hostel and a hotel. Typically family run, like Club Menorca, hostals comprise of private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a bar and restaurant on site. They commonly offer no-frills, affordable rooms and so are in essence a budget hotel.

PLEASE NOTE: Club Menorca is built into the cliff face, and accessed via 53 steps from the road above. Therefore, we may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or families with pushchairs. Please visit our gallery to see photos.

"This is a real gem of a place, possibly the best view in Menorca too to sit and have a drink. Very romantic. The owner Peter is a wonderful man and made us feel like family. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was gorgeous. We had freshly caught cod fillet with homemade tartare, beautiful and the tapas was great too highly recommend this place for the views, hosts, food and general atmosphere. Wonderful. 6 stars out of 5."

"Came for a week in June with my fiance Tessa. Rooms are basic but excellent value considering the views from the balcony. Great tapas and romantic sunsets with champagne. Staff and the owner Peter where very helpful and could not do enough for us. Slept wonderfully with the sound of the sea against the opposite cliffs We'll be back soon!"

"We went for 10 days in early October. The views were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food, while not haute cuisine, was good and reasonably priced. The bedroom was basic but clean. This was not a high luxury place, but excellent value for money. We would definitely go again."
